"Many others were also in attendance, along with those mentioned. When Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir addressed them, his heart was present in full awareness, as he declared: 'This foot of mine is upon the neck of every saint of Allah [qadami hadhihi 'ala raqabati kulli waliyyin li'llah].'

"Shaikh 'Ali ibn al-Hiti sprang to his feet at once, then climbed the steps up to the lectern, where he grasped the Shaikh's foot and set in upon his neck, as he placed his head beneath the hem of the Shaikh's robe. All of those present extended their necks in this same manner."

Shaykh sent his intelligent Khulafas in all parts of the world. they made khanqa's there and spread the message of Islam. He was the sun in Sufism and all the Sufis of different Sufi orders received benefit from the Shaykh. The Shaykh wrote many books. Some of which are listed below,

1)Ghunia al-talibeen 2)futuh al-ghayb 3) sirr al-asrar 4) alfteh al-rabbani 5) jila al-khawatir fil-Batin-o-wal-zahir 6)maktoobat(letters) 7)Ilhamaat etc.

Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir died on 11 rabi al-thani 561/1166 and the Imam of his janaza prayer was his elder son Hadrat sayyid abu Abdullah saif al-Din Abd al-Wahhab (D.593/1197) who became his successor after his death. Shaykh was buried in Baghdad and his shrine is well known all over the Muslim world.
